I am a triathlete and endurance runner.  I spent a lot of energy training for my events and primarily focused on speed training until I was hooked on the concept of heart monitor training programs.  Mark Allen was the first program I used and trained with as I accomplished my first half Ironman I was intrigued by how much work load my body could handle with relatively light training.  I have spent a lot of time using many of the Timex Ironman heart rate monitors and really have come to settle on the Ironman Race Trainer primarily because of its heart rate training software Training Peaks that comes with the device.
